Shipping and Returns for Australian Orders
Everything ships from the Fremantle shopfront on an Auspost tracked service. Order before 3pm AWST on a weekday and it leaves that afternoon.
Shipping rates and delivery times
Auspost standard tracked is $10.00 and takes 3 business days. Auspost express is $35.00 and reaches metro Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane the next business day. Orders over $300 ship free on standard. Regional and remote addresses add 1 to 3 days depending on the Auspost network, and the Auspost delivery estimate tool is more accurate than anything we could promise for a specific postcode.
The minimum order is $100, and the cart will not send you through to checkout below it. Orders placed before 3pm AWST on a weekday are picked and dispatched the same afternoon, and a tracking number is emailed as soon as the label is printed.
Dispatch and tracking
Orders placed before 3pm AWST Monday to Friday go out the same afternoon. Anything after that, or on a weekend, goes out the next business day. The hand crank grinder is made to order in Hobart with a 2 to 3 week lead time, which is stated on its product page and again at checkout.
An Auspost tracking number is emailed the moment the label is printed, usually late afternoon AWST. If you need to change the delivery address or cancel, reply to the receipt within two hours and we can still do it. After that the parcel is with Auspost and the address can only be changed through their redirection service.
Plain packaging
Every order goes out in an unbranded satchel or a plain box. The sender name printed on the label reads SSA Trading. Nothing on the outside names a product, shows an image, or describes the contents, and the tax invoice sits inside the parcel rather than in a pouch on the outside. Ashtrays and vaporisers are packed in foam.
State restrictions
We ship Australia wide, and the accessories we sell are legal to own throughout the country. State laws differ on the retail display and sale of some smoking accessories, and where a restriction affects an order we tell you before payment rather than cancelling afterwards. Nothing we stock is a nicotine product, so the prescription only nicotine rules do not apply to any item on this site.
Returns and refunds
Change of mind returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused items in their original packaging. Post it back or bring it to the counter, and we refund the item price once it arrives. Return postage on a change of mind is yours, which for most things here is the cost of a satchel. Size swaps on rolling trays are the most common return we handle and we process them without fuss.
Faulty items are a different matter entirely. Under Australian Consumer Law you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund where an item is faulty, not as described, or fails to do what it should, and that right is not limited to 30 days. Vaporisers carry a three year warranty serviced in Adelaide. Contact us with the order number and a description of the fault and we will arrange it, including return postage.
Common questions
Do you offer free shipping in Australia?
Yes, on orders over $300, and it applies to Auspost standard. Below $300, standard tracked is $10.00 and express is $35.00. The minimum order across the site is $100.
How do I track my order?
An Auspost tracking number is emailed as soon as the label prints, usually late afternoon AWST on the day of dispatch. Enter it on the Auspost website or app. If the number has not arrived by the next business day, reply to the order receipt and we will resend it.
Can I return an item if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Return postage is yours on a change of mind. We refund the item price once it reaches us. Faulty items are handled separately under Australian Consumer Law and we cover return postage on those.
What happens if my parcel arrives damaged?
Send us a photo of the parcel and the item with your order number. We replace breakages without argument, and we do not ask you to post a broken ashtray back. Ceramics and vaporisers are packed in foam for this reason, so it happens rarely.
